Dr. Mahindra earned her dental degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago. Since graduating, Dr. Mahindra has gained invaluable experience in private practice in Houston, TX. She then went on to own her own practice in Maine. Dr. Mahindra relocated to Florida to be closer to friends and family. She has remained dedicated to expanding her knowledge and expertise in many areas of dentistry for better patient results.
Dr. Mahindra commits over 100 hours to continuing education every year to keep pace with the evolving world of dentistry.
Together with her team, Dr. Mahindra provides comprehensive general, cosmetic, surgical and restorative dental care to patients of all ages at DeLand Smiles.

It is a great time to be a part of dentistry. Combining true and tried fundamentals with all the advanced technology available today has allowed us to excel in this field. We offer surgical, conservative and preventative treatments, Oral sedation for our apprehensive patients, and simplified education to help our patients understand all available treatment options. Patient’s should not have to fear visiting the dentist due to past traumas. We focus on cognitive behavioral changes by listening and gearing treatment where patients have a say in their treatment options. We provide patient focused care for that reason.

This is an amazing office. My daughter is terrified of dentists but this office takes their time to explain everything. If she says something hurts, the dentist will stop and adjust what she is doing. They LISTEN to the patients. They are not on my insurance, but the the staff, hygienist and dentist and the comfort level mean more to me than the insurance. I would recommend this office to everyone, especially those who are nervous and have had a bad experience previously.
